Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) is a widely accepted application programming interface (API) for database access. It provides a standard method for using database management systems (DBMS).

The ODBC Database Backup Plugin allows you to backup databases from local and remote database servers through the ODBC protocol.

Required parameters:

• Data Source: the ODBC data source stores information about how to connect to the indicated data provider.
• The Tables list shows the tables from the currently selected connection. Click Update to reload the list and check the tables you want to include in the backup. Only checked tables will be included in the backup.

If Always include all is checked then all existing tables will be included and all newly created tables will be included automatically.

ODBC Settings Backup Plugin

The ODBC Data Source Administrator manages database drivers and data sources. This application is located in the Windows Control Panel under Administrative Tools. Its icon is named Data Sources (ODBC).
